Explorer is free forever with 10 company lookups per month. Paid plans (Prospector, Dealmaker, Firm) are charged immediately on sign up — no trial period, but you can cancel any time.
What counts as a company lookup? +
Opening a full company intelligence report — the page with DistressIQ score, signals, financials, directors and the acquisition narrative. Searching for a company name does not count as a lookup.
Do credits expire? +
No. Credits purchased on a pay-as-you-go basis never expire. Monthly subscription plans receive a monthly credit allocation that refreshes each billing period.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan? +
Yes, at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Upgrades take effect immediately, downgrades apply at the next billing date.
What are priority alerts? +
Dealmaker and Firm subscribers receive real-time email (and optional SMS) notifications when a company on their watchlist crosses a distress threshold — such as accounts going overdue, a director resignation, a Gazette notice, or DistressIQ score exceeding 65. Free and Prospector users receive a weekly digest summary instead.
Is there a limit to watchlist size? +
Explorer: 5 companies. Prospector: 25 companies. Dealmaker and Firm: unlimited.
How is payment processed? +
All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never store your card details. You can manage your subscription, update payment details, and download invoices from the Stripe customer portal.
